This documentary of archival film, historic photos, and music recorded at mass meetings vividly bring the recollections of the honorable John R. Lewis to life. Lewis leads colleagues from the House and Senate on an emotional pilgrimage to sacred sites of the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama.

Join us for the annual march & rally as we remember Dr. King. Dr. Erwin Chemerinsky, Dean of the Law School, will be kicking off the event beginning at the flagpoles. After the march around ring road, there will be a rally at the flagpoles.

LANI GUINIER
Dr. Joseph L. White Keynote Lecture

Dr. Lani Guinier, the first black woman ever appointed to a tenured professorship at Harvard Law School. Previously the head of the voting rights project at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, she served in the Civil Rights Division under Attorney General Drew Days. Guinier came to public attention when she was nominated by Clinton to head the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, only to have her name withdrawn without a confirmation hearing.
