Campus organizations and local organization/agencies serving the needs of the local community will be present at the COMMUNITY & PUBLIC SERVICE Fair. Join us in our collective effort of making a stronger and more equitable UCI and local community. Community involvement and advocacy groups/agencies will be present and offering single service volunteer opportunities and unpaid internship positions within UCI and Orange County. Our special invitations for this fair include student-run organizations that outreach and promote equitable education for all. Get involved and take action.

Campus organizations, campus departments, and community agencies  wishing to serve as an exhibitor at the fair must complete the registration form above. The cost to participate in the fair is $25 (payable to UC Regents) for off campus organizations. This fee includes set up equipment, parking, and box lunch. We ask that you bring an interactive display with brochures and fun giveaways if available.

FREE WORKSHOP: Community Partners Networkng Workshop

January 21: 9 am- 11am, Cross-Cultural Center, Dr. White Room
Presenters:
Valerie Sheppard, The Paul Merage School of Busines

This workshop is available for all organizations registering for the Community & Public Service Fair. Attend this session and find out what community partners can do to make their opportunities both meaningful to interns / volunteers and impactful to the organization. Valerie Sheppard will combine her expertise in marketing and artistry and creativity.

It is not necessary to pre register to attend the Community & Public Service Fair. We will have registration open at the door. The fair is a great opportunity for the campus community to learn about the various community agencies serving Orange County and surrounding areas, as well as the many campus organizations providing outreach opportunities to underserved communities. Attend the fair for your chance to win various prizes!

F.A.Q's

Q: As a UCI student, I have class from 11am-1pm. Can I come for the last hour?

A: Of course! The fair is open for attendees to come and go throughout the event.

Q: I'm interested in finding a volunteer site, how should I prepare for the fair?

A: It's helpful to have your resume ready, but it's not necessary to attend the fair. Ceck out the list of exhibitors before attending (coming soon), to see which agencies spark your interest. Attend the fair, introduce yourself, ask questions, and have fun!

Q: Is the fair free to attend?

A: The volunteer fair is FREE for all students, faculty, staff, and community member. Only exhibitors incur a small cost to participate in the fair.

Q: I am a social ecology student, in search of a field study placement. Will attending the fair be helpful?

A: No matter the major, we hope the fair serves as a great resource for all attendees. Many of the attending exhibitors are approved social ecology field sites.
