Kevin Huie

Kevin graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 1997, and from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's degree in History in 1994. Kevin most recently served as the Director of the Department of Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs at Loyola and has worked for Notre Dame and DePaul University as well. Kevin is also a former high school teacher, and has served as a consultant and/or diversity trainer for a number of different schools and non-profit organizations, including the Chicago Public Schools, the South Bend School Corporation, the NCAA National Youth Sports Program and the Archdiocese of Chicago. Kevin's academic interests lie in multiracial identity, cultural competency, and diversity in education. Kevin has just recently moved to Southern California and is excited to be working for UCI.

Floyd Lai

An alumnus of UC Irvine, Floyd graduated with a degree in environmental engineering and credits his student experience working at the Cross-Cultural Center as a major reason for getting into the field of student affairs. Prior to returning to UCI in 2005, he was the Student Affairs Coordinator at the Los Angeles campus of Alliant International University, a professional school in clinical and organizational psychology. He received his Masters from the Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs (PASA) program at the University of Southern California. An active member of the professional organization NASPA, he currently serves as a regional coordinator for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program and is always excited to speak with students about a potential career in student affairs.
