R.E.A.C.H. Overview
R.E.A.C.H. is an educational outreach program of the Cross-Cultural Center devoted to increasing awareness and knowledge of the issues and topics important to community harmony in a multicultural world. R.E.A.C.H. consists of a select group of UCI students trained to present workshops on multicultural and ethnic diversity topics. R.E.A.C.H. Facilitators are chosen from various segments of the campus community, and share a dedication to building a harmonious academic and social environment at UCI.

Goals of R.E.A.C.H.
- To facilitate interaction and dialogue on diversity and multicultural topics.
- To foster an appreciation and understanding of ethnic and cultural diversity.
- To educate the campus community on the needs and issues of a diverse student body.
- To support the Cross-Cultural Center's mission in promoting the education, celebration, and development of a multi-ethnic and multicultural campus.
Program Facilitators
Trained in and available for facilitating group discussion topics such as:
- Cultural awareness
- Ethnic diversity
- Privilege
- Cycle of oppression
- Cross-cultural communication
- Stereotypes
- Gender and LGBT related issues
- Socio-economic status/class
- Identity development
- Religion
R.E.A.C.H. Facilitators use a variety of interactive methods such as panels, skits, videos, and exercises to discuss topics related to diversity and multicultural issues.
